The National High School Athletic Coaches Association Partners with the U.S. Marine Corps to Inspire Leadership and Excellence in High School Athletics

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

The National High School Athletic Coaches Association (NHSACA) is proud to announce a strategic partnership with the United States Marine Corps, uniting two organizations dedicated to leadership, discipline, and the development of young men and women. This collaboration reinforces the NHSACA’s mission to support and equip high school coaches while highlighting the Marine Corps’ commitment to instilling values of honor, courage, and commitment in student-athletes nationwide.

Through this partnership, NHSACA and the U.S. Marine Corps will work together to provide resources, leadership development opportunities, and mentorship programs for coaches and student-athletes. By leveraging the shared principles of teamwork, perseverance, and excellence, the partnership aims to elevate the role of high school athletics in shaping future leaders both on and off the field.

A Shared Commitment to Leadership and Character Development

High school coaches play a pivotal role in developing young athletes into well-rounded individuals, much like the Marine Corps cultivates the next generation of leaders. Through this collaboration, NHSACA and the Marines will provide coaches with resources to reinforce leadership, mental toughness, and teamwork within their programs.

“The NHSACA is honored to partner with the United States Marine Corps in a shared mission to develop student-athletes into strong, capable leaders,” said Scott Garvis, Executive Director of the NHSACA. “Coaches are shaping the future of our country by instilling values of perseverance, integrity, and teamwork in their athletes—values that align perfectly with the Marine Corps’ commitment to service and leadership.”

A Message from the U.S. Marine Corps

“The United States Marine Corps is proud to begin our partnership with NHSACA and their community of dedicated high school coaches and athletic directors,” said Lt. Col. Tony Semelroth, National Director of Marketing and Communication, Marine Corps Recruiting Command. “We are honored to support those who are fostering the fighting spirit within their organizations, programs, and communities. This generation of student-athletes seek honest and sound advice from their coaches regarding their future and we want to ensure that coaches have the best information available to present the Marine Corps as a positive opportunity.”
