As we gear up for the upcoming Spring Executive Committee meeting, I wanted to provide you with a brief preview of the agenda and share some important updates regarding the 2024 National Coaches Convention.

The NHSACA Executive Board Meeting, scheduled for March 17th, 2024, will cover essential topics such as the review of past minutes, financial updates, and reports from various committees. The agenda includes detailed discussions on the upcoming 2024 National Convention, addressing logistical aspects like accommodation, banquets, and schedules. The meeting will also delve into sponsorships, partnerships, and proposed changes to by-laws and policies. Updates on memberships, the NHSACA website, and awards, including Distinguished Service and Carey E. McDonald National Citation, are on the agenda. Future convention updates for 2025, 2026, and 2027 will also be discussed. Old business, new business, and potential executive session discussions add depth to the comprehensive agenda. The meeting aims to facilitate strategic planning and ensure the continued success of NHSACA.

NHSACA Convention

This convention promises to be an exceptional opportunity for coaches from across the country to come together, share insights, and enhance their professional development. With clinic sessions covering nineteen specific sports, college credit courses, and valuable networking opportunities, it's an event no coach should miss.

The 2024 National High School Athletic Coaches Association National Coaches Convention will be hosted by the North Dakota High School Coaches Association from June 22, 2024 to June 27, 2024 in Bismarck, North Dakota at the Bismarck Hotel and Convention Center.  There will be clinic sessions for nineteen specific sports, college credit courses, as well as plenty of time to network with coaches from across the country. In addition, there will be a NHSACA National Coaches Hall of Fame Ceremony and a NHSACA National Coach of the Year Ceremony to recognize the best of the best.

NHSACA National Convention Hotel Information

For the convenience of our attendees, we have secured discounted rates at the main hotel, Bismarck Hotel and Conference Center, and two overflow hotels, EverSpring Suites and EverSpring Inn. It is recommended to book your accommodations promptly and use the provided references when making reservations to ensure you receive the special convention rates.

Sport Chairs -National Coach of the Year Finalists

Sport Chairs work with your finalists to help hem register and organize for the convention. To ensure your finalists receive the acknowledgment they deserve, it is crucial that they register for the convention at their earliest convenience. Your role as Sport Chairs is pivotal in facilitating this process.

Event Date: Wednesday, June 26th

Steps to Encourage Registration:

1. Reach Out Promptly: Contact your finalists promptly, conveying the significance of their recognition and the tremendous value the convention offers.
2. Assist with Registration: Offer assistance in navigating the registration process. Share the registration link and provide any necessary guidance to streamline the process.
3. Highlight Benefits: Emphasize the numerous benefits of attending, such as networking opportunities, exposure to cutting-edge coaching strategies, and the chance to connect with fellow coaches from across the country.
4. Celebrate Achievements: Remind finalists that attending the convention is not just about the accolades but also an opportunity to celebrate their achievements on a national platform.

Hall of Fame Committee - Hall of Fame Ceremony

As we eagerly approach the 2024 National Coaches Convention, it is crucial that we extend our support to the esteemed Hall of Fame inductees. Your role in ensuring a seamless registration process and assisting them in organizing their participation is pivotal to making this event a memorable experience for all.

Event Date: Tuesday, June 25th

1. Facilitate Registration: Reach out to each Hall of Fame inductee individually to guide them through the registration process. Ensure they are aware of the steps involved and assist with any queries they may have.
2. Provide Information: Share detailed information about the convention schedule, key events, and any specific arrangements related to the Hall of Fame ceremony. Clear communication will contribute to their overall experience and preparedness.
3. Address Special Requirements: If any inductee has specific needs or requests, collaborate with them to accommodate those requirements. This may include special arrangements for travel, accommodation, or participation in certain convention activities.
