NHSACA Executive Board Monthly July Newsletter

As you know by now, I really like to use quotes to get things started. Here’s one by legendary coach Vince Lombardi:

"Individual commitment to a group effort—that is what makes a team work, a company work, a society work, a civilization work."

This year’s NHSACA Annual Conference was a true example of that kind of teamwork in action. From the Hall of Fame and Coach of the Year banquets to the sport-specific sessions and leadership classes, every part of this conference reflected the values we strive to uphold as an association.

Our board, executive committee, and volunteers came together with energy, commitment, and heart. The result? An event that felt like a championship win—a celebration of excellence in coaching and leadership across the country.

And just like after a big win, there’s also that sense of emptiness now that it’s over. We already can’t wait until next year.

As I reflect on my time as President of the NHSACA, one of the most significant and impactful changes we made was transitioning from one Executive Director to two. That move has paid off in ways we could have only hoped for. We’ve seen an increase in sponsorships, a stronger financial foundation, and a wider national reach.

A heartfelt thank you to Scott and Tim for your tireless work, your vision, and your leadership. You’ve made a lasting difference.

From the outstanding sport sessions and engaging general sessions, to the meaningful recognition of coaches at our banquets—it was an unforgettable week.

Let’s carry that momentum forward, and don’t forget: Next year’s conference will be held in Iowa. We hope to see you there!
